Jennifer Sawyer
Founder & Lead Instructor, Head Personal Trainer and Healthy Eating and Weight Loss Coach

Jen strongly believes that your fitness success begins with goal setting and building a positive mindset. She has been instructing dance and fitness classes for over 20 years and discovered her love of group fitness while teaching at the Student Gym in University. Ever since, she has continued to instruct hundreds of individuals from pre-teens to post-partum Moms, seniors, elite athletes and everyone in between. Jen has been a certified fitness instructor and Personal Trainer since 2003 and is thrilled to be sharing her passion for healthy living with the Port Perry community. She has been personal training women in Port Perry since 2015 and is excited to expand her love of movement to more community members. In her spare time, she chairs the Fill a Purse for a Sister Campaign in Scugog. She is a Certified Healthy Eating and Weight Loss Coach who has helped numerous women lose and keep unhealthy weight off. Jen is excited to help you achieve your next fitness goal!

Antonio has been involved in the fitness industry for 20 years and has degrees in both Kinesiology and Nutrition. He is certified through the NSCA to train professional sports athletes and enjoys training athletes at North End. Antonio has won multiple awards in personal training and nutrition communication. His greatest joy is seeing clients reach their full potential!

Ashley Morrison is a Certified Personal Training Specialist through CanFitPro and mom to her beautiful Briar and wife to Jeremy. She resides in Port Perry where she was born and raised. It is very special for her to work here and impact the people in the town where she grew up. After 15 years as an accomplished business professional, Ashley made the decision to make a career change and pursue her passion for fitness. Combined with her love of training and development, Ashley wants to work with members to help them achieve their goals, set new ones and give them a chance to put themselves first.
FUN FACT I am a #1 best-selling author for a book where I was a co-author. We wrote about our Journeys to self love.

After pursuing an education in Mental Health/Addictions, Cass decided to turn her career toward all things wellness. In the past year, she has become a certified yoga teacher, life coach specializing in personal development, reiki practitioner, and most recently a fitness instructor! She is passionate about mental health and well-being and believes that fitness is a major component in improving, and maintaining a healthy body, mind, and spirit!

Jess is a Certified Exercise Physiologist through ACSM as well as a dancer and teacher/choreographer. Jess continued her dance journey throughout University on the Varsity Dance Team while studying Kinesiology. As a previous Registered Kinesiologist, she has worked with all ages and abilities in both community and clinical settings. Jess continues to work within the dance and fitness industries and loves working with older adults, people with injuries or physical functional limitations. Jess loves to share the idea that movement is medicine while encouraging others to live a healthy lifestyle!

Jessica is a fitness enthusiast who is new to the area. She is a flight attendant with air Canada and has a passion for running and water skiing, all over the world - including shows in Mexico! She is a certified fitness instructor who loves everything physical fitness and keeping active. She has played a competitive level of hockey her whole life and continues to play today. Her background includes coaching hockey and skating to kids and adults alike. She is excited to bring her passion to you and for you to succeed in your journey.

Jillian is a Certified Fitness Trainer with over 20 years of fitness experience. Her mission is to empower women, create a sustainable solution for lasting health, happiness and confidence. Jillian is also passionate about Real Estate and is an Award Winning Sales Representative with Right At Home Realty Inc, located on Queen St, Downtown Port Perry. She lives in town with her two daughters and chocolate lab. She is a Community supporter for local charities and enjoys delivering lunches with a smile to local Seniors who participate in Meals On Wheels through Community Living. With Jillian as your instructor you won't know what to expect! Every class will have its own authentic twist. You can count on her to bring enthusiasm, motivation, a little bit of fun and a whole lot of sweat!

Breathwork, Zumba
Katie is a mother of 4 with a passion and desire for all things surrounding physical fitness and women's support. As a personal trailer through the Canadian Fitness Professionals, Katie specializes in pre and post natal fitness. She is a certified Zumba instructor and has taken the Dancing for Birth specialists course. She has hosted fitness classes supporting participants in their achievement of their fitness goals for the last 8 years. Katie is also a certified labor and birth doula through Doula Canada and provides emotionally connected, educational tools and physical supports during labor, birth and postpartum.She is also a 2nd level reiki practitioner and is studying Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP). Katie is a certified Breathwork Facilitator who finds joy in sharing her passion with others.

Lisa is a Certified Personal Trainer and Fitness Instructor who has worked in the fitness industry since 2008. Her many certifications include Certified Pilates Mat Work, RYT 200 Yoga, Fascial Stretch Therapist and extensive training in fitness for pelvic health. Lisa is excited to share her knowledge with the North End community. She loves helping members to rehabilitate and gain strength and mobility after injury and especially enjoys working with women of all ages to build strength and power in their bodies. This includes building the core, whole body fitness and heavy lifting. We are lucky to have Lisa on our Team!
FUN FACT I love everything about the outdoors! I am at home on the water, riding on trails, walking in the snow, or playing with my dogs. Nature is my happy place.
FAVOURITE EXERCISE To be honest I love all of it. I truly believe that movement is medicine! I do love anything that really takes my focus, whether that is breathwork, lifting, yoga or Pilates.

Sara is a certified group fitness instructor who is passionate about long-term athlete/fitness development. She is a High School teacher at Anderson CVI in Whitby, specializing in Physical Education, Yoga and Nutrition. As a mother of 3 girls, who are all competitive athletes in hockey and field lacrosse, her passion to promote strength, confidence and resiliency in all women is a priority. Sara is a competitively trained coach in both basketball and lacrosse and loves to lead dryland training. She volunteers her time as a coach and manager of rep hockey, lacrosse and volleyball teams in Durham Region. She and her husband, Brett, live in Bowmanville and carry their passion for their teaching careers into their coaching jobs. Sara can't wait to help people of all ages and fitness interests to become committed to achieving their next goal.

Mike loves burpees and will likely work them into all of his programs. He thrives off motivating others to become stronger versions of themselves. Michael understands how busy life can be and how hard it can be finding time for personal needs. This is why he offers early morning training and family fitness to help suit your needs. Michael’s goal is to help you succeed in your pursuit of fitness.

Suzanne
Run Club, Learn to Run
Suzanne is an enthusiastic road runner with over 30 years of experience pounding the pavement. She discovered her passion for running after a shoulder injury put a stop to her competitive swimming career. Suzanne has participated in several marathons, triathlons and duathlons. She is an avid skier on snow and on water and has been coaching athletes from beginners to provincial level for the last 30 years. Her passion for the science of exercise, bio-mechanic and nutrition has made her a lifelong learner. Suzanne is also a local elementary school teacher for the French Immersion program and lives in Port Perry with her husband Jeff and their 3 children. She is excited to lead the new running group at North End Fitness and share her passion for outdoor movement.
FUN FACT I love vegetables but don’t like cooked vegetables, I am terrified of cows and run into jellyfish everywhere I swim, even when people say there are none - like in Greece!

Run Club, Learn to Run
Val began her adult running journey 15 years ago with a Learn to Run 5K program, similar to ours. She quickly fell in love with the mental and physical benefits of running and can’t speak enough about the camaraderie among the running community. She is eager to bring this to North End! Val has accomplished many of her running goals including 10Ks, half marathons, PBs and her proudest moment- qualifying for and running in the 2018 Boston Marathon! We are so lucky to have Val with her passion and experience on our Team!

Amber is a post-secondary student studying in the Teacher Training Program at the National Ballet of Canada in Toronto. She spends her weekends at home instructing at a local dance academy and at North End Fitness. Amber is a Certified Fitness Instructor Specialist who loves to motivate and inspire others.

Theresa
Dragon Boat Coach, Circuit, Personal Training
In addition to being a Certified Fitness Instructor Specialist through canfitpro, Theresa is a Dragon Boat Coach, Steersperson and Festival Official certified through Dragon Boat Canada. As a dragon boat athlete herself, Theresa values the psychological and physiological benefits of participating in fitness and sport. Prior to her Fitness and Sport career Theresa worked in the developmental psychology field for 15+ years. These experiences have fostered a passion in her for Mixed Ability Sports, ensuring all individuals have the opportunity to participate and engage in sports and fitness, as equal and valued members, developing a sense of membership and belonging within a community for all.
FUN FACT In my early 20's I travelled throughout the USA for a year as a carny at state fairs.
